About Vintage Modified
From oil changes to building from scratch, Vintage Modified is dedicated to keeping classic/vintage cars on the road. Whether you just need some maintenance, or want modern modifications from airbag suspension to air conditioning, paint to engine swaps, cars are built and modified for today's roads and tomorrow's adventure. Erie's newest one stop shop for your classic/custom car.

Body shops repair collision damage, dents, rust and paint, and most work directly with insurance companies: you can choose any shop, not only the insurer's preferred one, and the shop will write a supplement if hidden damage turns up. Paintless dent repair fixes hail and door dings without repainting. Detailing shops clean and protect interiors and paint, from a basic wash-and-wax to ceramic coatings and paint protection film. Car washes range from self-service bays to express tunnels with monthly memberships. Upholstery shops repair seats, headliners and convertible tops, and restoration shops bring classic and collector cars back to original or custom condition.

Erie is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Erie is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

If you want your car rebuilt the right way, this is the shop to go to. From the moment you walk in, you can tell these guys take pride in what they do. They’re not just turning wrenches—they actually understand the work and care about doing it correctly the first time. The level of professionalism and knowledge here really stands out, and they take the time to explain things instead of just rushing you out the door. What impressed me most is the attention to detail. Whether it’s a full frame-off restoration or just an oil change, they treat every job like it matters. You can tell they don’t cut corners, and that’s getting harder to find these days. Communication was solid the whole way through. On top of that, they’re just genuinely good people—friendly, honest, and easy to deal with. It’s the kind of place you feel comfortable bringing your vehicle back to again and again. If you’re looking for quality work you can trust, I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Apparently they have a "Master mechanic" that ruined my friends truck. After he got it back from these crooks, I've had to basically repair anything they supposedly "fixed". On his behalf let me warn you not to waste your money or time on this place. They also removed his review because it was accurate and unflattering. All other reviews must be from the owners daddy's friends. Obviously the only reason this place is still open is because daddy used to have a good reputation. The son is doing his best to ruin that.

Brought my 1988 Eddie Bauer, Ford Bronco to this place. The Bronco had many issues. These guys worked with me. Kept me informed and updated throughout the process. I drove home with a big smile on my face! I couldn't be happier with my experience at Vintage Modified. I will be bringing my Mustang there next. I highly recommend that if you have a vehicle that you love bring it to these guys.

Very good professional body and paint work, prices are very reasonable. Matt went way above and beyond what was ask to do for me. I highly recommend them to anyone who would like to have their car, truck, classic, muscle car or hot rod repaired, repainted or restored frame on or frame off. If you have any questions about your work needed done contact Matt he will be happy to help you out & tell him Mustang Pat recommended him.

This place is amazing, how would you feel about being able to walk into a car show in Erie 365 days of the year. Something like this doesn't exist in our neck of the woods folks, until now. High end quality hot rods that are absolutely breathtaking. What Matt has done with this place is incredible, and "foose-esque" coming up with amazing concepts from the top of his head and bringing them to life, and the support he gives and received from local businesses is 2nd to none. If you've got a project that you've been dying to start, or get done, let these guys know and they'll make your dreams a reality.
